I have decided that I want to learn more about our constitution and what our rights really are. I don’t remember learning about the Constitution beyond the preamble but since I want my kids to understand this piece of paper that has the most important words written on it, I decided that I would make this a section in my blog and study it more in-depth.
I want to regularly post about a different individual right according to our founding father’s and show people how simple and important they are to this country and to every human being on the planet.
At a time when our individual rights are constantly under attack we should be educating ourselves to what our rights really are instead of allowing other people to tell us.
I am still looking for a good book or copy that covers all of our rights according to our founding fathers, so if anyone has any ideas on where to buy one let me know. I have looked on certain websites but am a little apprehensive to these books validity. I am finding out that having information is good but having too much information is confusing and can easily become contaminated with too many opinions instead of facts.
About Mimic Nature
Hello everyone! I’m so glad to see you! I’m Jana, I’m an eccentric wife and mother; I work 2 jobs and homeschool my kids.
With all this going on in my life, I want to focus my attention on the things that make me happy, and the one thing that has made me happy ever since I was a little kid is nature. As my life progressed and changed through my teen years and my early married life, I lost my connection to it. Life took over and here I am living disconnected from nature because of work, bills, and every day events that keep me away.
So the next chapter of my life will be dedicated, at least in some small part, to reconnecting to nature; I still have a mortgage, work, and a family to take care of, but now, I will be more aware of nature and my place within it. Each day, I will find some small way to not harm nature.
Not long ago I was introduced to something called permaculture and I fell in love with it. Basically, it’s building a small ecosystem in your own backyard that is based off of what nature would do naturally. In turn your backyard helps you, and you help your backyard…with minimal work!! At first it may take more work, but over time, your backyard will become self-sustaining and you won’t have to work as hard…other than harvesting.
I love the life lessons that I learn from nature, so what I promise to do is share a lesson that I’ve learned from nature each week, share what I’m learning about permaculture, and share my own personal progress in changing my homestead into a permaculture Garden of Eden. And since it’s hard to make any changes in life, I want to have some free giveaways once in awhile…all nature themed of course, to help all of us remember our ‘green’ family.
Read a few articles, see if you like what is there, if you do, go ahead and subscribe. If you don’t like what you see, that’s ok, I’m honored that you took the time to get to know me a little and see my vision for my blog and my life.

Great idea, Jana.
The more one knows the more one can act in defense of one’s rights. Ignorance is not bliss, it is a trait of the suppressed.
Much luck on your very worthwhile venture.

Thanks Alan! You are right, ignorance is NOT bliss, even though many try to tell you it is.
I am also seeing the Constitution in a light I’ve never seen it before… It blows my mind how blind I was to the true purpose and intent of the constitution. I also realized that people need religion even when they don’t believe in it.
I agree on both counts. We must open our eyes to the truth. The road toward prosperity, happiness and salvation we
assume we are on, may very well be the destructive road to perdition.
The good that people do cannot be accomplished without God’s grace; no matter by what other means they choose to define it; in hope of maintaining their pride driven independence from Him.

My boyfriend has been learning more about the constitution on and off for a while now. He talks to me about his learning and for a while I didn’t really listen. The more I heard the more I started paying attention. You don’t realize how important it is until you start to see how far away from it we are now. One interesting thing we have also talked about is how we can possibly be held to something the other people signed so many years ago. A lot to think about.
