Is Change Really Necessary?

Today, everywhere we go, we see people telling us we need to change, we need to change the way we eat, the way we think, and the way we do things. Is change really necessary? Or is there something else we need to do? I was looking at my social media page the other day and I saw a link that said now they are genetically modifying our potatoes so that way they are supposedly safer to deep fry and make into potato chips. Why do we feel the need to change things so much? Is changing things really necessary? Change means to make or become different, so is it really necessary to change that potato? Those studies that were done that say the potato has a “potentially dangerous chemical” in it, is just that, a study, it is NOT fact at all and potential means that it could have it, it doesn’t mean it does. So they may be changing something that doesn’t need to be changed, or better yet, shouldn’t be changed. I see it everywhere I go, I need a new car, I need a new house, I need a new this or a new that, we are constantly focused on change, on making things different from what they are. What is the driving force behind this?  Nature is created exactly the way it was meant to be, and I believe we are too, we are born exactly the way we should be, but as we grow older we begin to cover ourselves with dirt, dirt that was never part of our original self. Over time this dirt changes us from the inside out, transforming us. I always thought people were scared of change but when you really look at life, people crave change, when they can’t change the big things right away, they change the small things, giving the illusion of control. Personally, I don’t believe in change, I believe in removing those things in my life that are blocking the real me underneath. I was born exactly the way I should be but I covered myself up with wrong thinking, so now I must remove that thinking and reveal the me that I was born to be. Don’t let anyone, even religion, tell you that you are dirty, sinful, or any of the other terms they use to make you feel bad about yourself. Remember nature, it was created just the way it should be, and so were you, so instead of trying to change yourself, remove those thoughts that are blocking the real you from shining through. removing blockages“We were created with all manner of openings and cavities (physically and spiritually). It is obvious and known before the throne of Glory, that if one would rupture or be blocked, it would not be possible to stand”

About Mimic Nature

Hello everyone! I’m so glad to see you! I’m Jana, I’m an eccentric wife and mother; I work 2 jobs and homeschool my kids. With all this going on in my life, I want to focus my attention on the things that make me happy, and the one thing that has made me happy ever since I was a little kid is nature. As my life progressed and changed through my teen years and my early married life, I lost my connection to it. Life took over and here I am living disconnected from nature because of work, bills, and every day events that keep me away. So the next chapter of my life will be dedicated, at least in some small part, to reconnecting to nature; I still have a mortgage, work, and a family to take care of, but now, I will be more aware of nature and my place within it. Each day, I will find some small way to not harm nature. Not long ago I was introduced to something called permaculture and I fell in love with it. Basically, it’s building a small ecosystem in your own backyard that is based off of what nature would do naturally. In turn your backyard helps you, and you help your backyard…with minimal work!! At first it may take more work, but over time, your backyard will become self-sustaining and you won’t have to work as hard…other than harvesting. I love the life lessons that I learn from nature, so what I promise to do is share a lesson that I’ve learned from nature each week, share what I’m learning about permaculture, and share my own personal progress in changing my homestead into a permaculture Garden of Eden. And since it’s hard to make any changes in life, I want to have some free giveaways once in awhile…all nature themed of course, to help all of us remember our ‘green’ family. Read a few articles, see if you like what is there, if you do, go ahead and subscribe. If you don’t like what you see, that’s ok, I’m honored that you took the time to get to know me a little and see my vision for my blog and my life.

I agree. Leave nature alone. People don’t realize how amazing things like heirloom potatoes are. Leaps and bounds better than GMO potatoes.
We have done a ton of changing lately. All shedding the things in life that we don’t need and getting back to how we were “meant” to be. I think of it as almost reverting back to the natural state, with as little extra as possible to keep us comfortable. Getting back to basics is a wonderful feeling!
