
We live in a high‑pressured society, rushing into decisions as if speed will save us. Yet nature never hurries and still accomplishes everything. Thoreau reminds us that commitments made without intention become a kind of imprisonment — whether it’s a farm, a habit, or a life we chose on impulse. Slow choices grow deep roots; rushed ones rarely bear fruit. This week, I’m choosing to pause before I plant, and let my decisions be deliberate.
