What You Inhale You Exhale

IMG_0223.JPG

Can a person inhale air and exhale water? Can a person inhale water and exhale fire? Of course not, because there is a Universal law that whatever you take in is what you give off, so if you take in water, that is what you will give off.

If you nurture nature (funny how those two words are so similar), nature will nurture you as well, but if you harm it, it will harm you.

My point in this is not to go over what I’ve talked about before, but to show a deeper awareness of this law.

Humans cannot inhale hatred and fear expecting to exhale love and compassion, it just doesn’t work that way. I am the type of person who is aware of certain types of behavior like hatred going on in the world, but I do not allow myself to inhale it, as this will ultimately lead to me exhaling it onto others.

Today, take a few minutes and really pay attention to what you are taking into your body, what you are infusing with your cells, is it really something you want to exhale on others?

Resistance Is Futile

IMG_0222-0.JPG

A few weeks ago I started taking hypnosis sessions to help me learn to overcome my problems, even though I’ve only had 2 sessions, I can see a change already.

In the second session we went back to my childhood in an attempt to mend what I had broken, this in turn helped me to stop judging myself, others, and every situation I found myself in.

Apparently I was judging situations as good or bad, when I judge I build a resistance to what IS, hence creating stress inside my mind and body. Have you ever thought about stress being a side effect of not accepting life as it is? Of judging experiences as good and bad?

So when your car breaks down and you don’t accept what is happening, you judge the experience as bad and you create stress within yourself.

Next time something causes you stress, stop resisting the lesson, learn from it and let it go.

Is Change Really Necessary?

leave the shell behind

leave the shell behind

Today, everywhere we go, we see people telling us we need to change, we need to change the way we eat, the way we think, and the way we do things. Is change really necessary? Or is there something else we need to do? I was looking at my social media page the other day and I saw a link that said now they are genetically modifying our potatoes so that way they are supposedly safer to deep fry and make into potato chips. Why do we feel the need to change things so much? Is changing things really necessary? Change means to make or become different, so is it really necessary to change that potato? Those studies that were done that say the potato has a “potentially dangerous chemical” in it, is just that, a study, it is NOT fact at all and potential means that it could have it, it doesn’t mean it does. So they may be changing something that doesn’t need to be changed, or better yet, shouldn’t be changed. I see it everywhere I go, I need a new car, I need a new house, I need a new this or a new that, we are constantly focused on change, on making things different from what they are. What is the driving force behind this?  Nature is created exactly the way it was meant to be, and I believe we are too, we are born exactly the way we should be, but as we grow older we begin to cover ourselves with dirt, dirt that was never part of our original self. Over time this dirt changes us from the inside out, transforming us. I always thought people were scared of change but when you really look at life, people crave change, when they can’t change the big things right away, they change the small things, giving the illusion of control. Personally, I don’t believe in change, I believe in removing those things in my life that are blocking the real me underneath. I was born exactly the way I should be but I covered myself up with wrong thinking, so now I must remove that thinking and reveal the me that I was born to be. Don’t let anyone, even religion, tell you that you are dirty, sinful, or any of the other terms they use to make you feel bad about yourself. Remember nature, it was created just the way it should be, and so were you, so instead of trying to change yourself, remove those thoughts that are blocking the real you from shining through. removing blockages“We were created with all manner of openings and cavities (physically and spiritually). It is obvious and known before the throne of Glory, that if one would rupture or be blocked, it would not be possible to stand”

Are You the White Rabbit?

Are you the white rabbit?

Are you the white rabbit?

Do you want a slice of life or the whole thing? What about other people, do you just want a piece of them, or do you want the whole thing? How about that cake, or that apple? Why do we take pieces of life when we are given the whole thing?

I am noticing the longer I blog, that there are 2 kinds of people, there are those who are really interested and feel the article and it’s author, or there are those who just skim to say they read it. Why does it seem that people just want to skim through life? They always seem busy and they can’t waste any more time. These people (and I was one of them) remind me of the white rabbit from Alice In Wonderland.

These people are always scampering around proclaiming with their actions how late they are. How they don’t have time for this, or don’t have time for that, why do our lives have to be in overdrive all the time? Why can’t we slow down and try to take in the entire moment, instead of just skimming through it trying to get to some point in the future that we can never reach?

I understand that life happens, I never get to comment or read all of the blogs that I really want to read, but when I do, I want to be fully engaged in them, to feel what the author is trying to say instead of skimming and missing the point completely.

Have you ever noticed that when people don’t agree on something, that one or both of them are only half listening to the other person, which I believe is the real cause of misunderstandings? I have, I do this myself from time to time, but the first step to change is knowing there is a problem.

When I go out into nature, I try to take in all its beauty, not just what I want to see. I need to look at the dead carcass of an animal, as well as the leaves changing color. Nature is not composed of only the pieces we want to see, and neither is our lives, they are made up of many different experiences and situations that need to be seen in their totality.

Can we do this? Can we as humans learn to look at all of life instead of skimming, especially when we have been doing it for so long? That is the beauty of being human, we can do whatever we set our minds to.

I challenge you to pick one day and try to slow it down as much as possible. Try to actually hear and see all that is going on or being said around you, instead of hurrying to a set moment in the future.

A Look Outside My Window

My wood furnace

My wood furnace

It amazes me how watching a fire can make me warm. I love my wood furnace, the heat is so warm and the house smells like a bonfire. I am very grateful for trees, they give me heat during the winter, they give me food or shade during the summer, they give me beauty during fall, they give me hope in spring.

Birds on a wire

A view outside my window this morning, the day was cloudy, and damp. Why do the birds congregate there? Is it warm by that transformer?

More Than Meets The Eye?

What if our world is a hologram?

What if our world is a hologram?

What would you do if the world you knew wasn’t what you thought? What if that animal and those plants don’t exist, or at least they don’t exist in the way you think they do?

We, as humans, are much more than what we appear to be on the outside, inside there is a vast, beautiful array of potential and depth that is beyond words. So why can’t nature be the same way? Why can’t there be more to nature than what we see with our physical eyes?

I watched a video on YouTube called the Holographic Universe, and it shows how quantum physics proves that what we see with our eyes is nothing more than a hologram, meaning that what we see is only a projection and not real, although the energy they contain is real.

Next time you see nature, look at what lies within, instead of seeing just a plant, or a tree. Even in nature there is more than meets the eye.

What Is Intent?

secret of life

What is intent? Do people broadcast their intent like a radio wave? Can people tell what others intentions are?

Intention is defined as, a thing intended, an aim or plan. I have been thinking about intent lately, what is the intent behind our actions? What makes us do the things we do?

My intent in writing my blog was to step out of my shell, to expand, to grow beyond what I was. My intent was never to make money at this, if I do someday then so be it, but it will be the Creator’s plan, not mine.

I have found that I cherish those connections I make with the intent of truly being friends, I can usually tell the connections I make that have ulterior motives, either the intent is money or to change me into what they want, spiritually and mentally. People can sense each others intentions, you can tell if someone wants something, everything they say and do will be saturated with what they want.

I hope that some day, people will have pure intentions when it comes to connecting with other people, instead of connecting for their own gain, they connect for the sake of helping others, then, and only then, will people finally realize that when they give, they will receive beyond their wildest dreams. A flower does not give off its fragrance for itself, it gives it to others.

Take a day and fulfill your purpose for being on this planet, help another joyfully without any thought of what you can get out of it, then you will see that you receive more than you could ever dream, and I’m not talking about just getting fuzzy feelings either. If you fill someone’s needs, the Universe will fill your need by someone as well.

love of music

love of music

I love Lindsey Sterling’s music, it’s fun and energetic, it makes me want to dance and play. Lindsey will post all of her music on You Tube free, by this action I can tell she loves what she does and is not focused on money. Yes, she is making money and that’s fine, but her true intent shines through and despite the fact that I can listen to her music online for free, I don’t want to, I wanted to buy it for myself.

Lessons From A Fish Tank

What I want my tank to be in the future

What I want my tank to be in the future

I love fish tanks. Mine is a work in progress and my goal with my fish tank is to make it as close to nature as I can. I want to have as many natural items as I can, even though I do have one of those sunken ships.

I could go on about how much I love having real plants in my tank, even though I’m not very good at taking care of them, but my focus is on something else, something that has an impact on my every day life.

I looked inside my tank the other day and noticed that one of my fish looked different, it looks like the scales are sticking straight out, and the research I did shows that it has a disease called dropsy. Apparently there is no cure for dropsy, but theories are that it is a buildup of parasites or bacteria which is caused by stress. What causes fish stress? Dirty water, fluctuating water temps, improper diet, and overcrowding impair the fishes immune system, and unfortunately, I am a very good at procrastination.

another example of a fish tank

another example of a fish tank

I could talk all day about stress and the supposed effects on the body, but I want to focus on something else, how often do we live in an apathetic manner. If I hadn’t kept putting off cleaning the tank, would my fish be sick? If we were more careful about what we said and did each day, would the world be in the state it’s in?

There are some people who don’t do their best at everything they do, there are those who don’t care at all about their jobs and only do what they need to do so they don’t get in trouble by their boss. When they get passed over for a job, or their employer gives them a bad review, they wonder what is going on with their life and why all these bad things have to happen to them. But the core of the issue is that they are creating their own problems by being careless.

Now I have an alarm set on my phone, to check the tank filter each week and take care of it properly this time.

Maybe we should all take a look at the areas in our lives that could use regular attention, making sure we do what needs to be done so we don’t hurt others.
